This is a beam-style torque wrench, which uses a deflecting beam to indicate the torque applied. As you turn, the beam moves over a scale to show the current torque value.
This torque wrench can measure up to 800 inch-pounds (in-lbs).
Beam-type torque wrenches typically do not require calibration as they don't rely on internal mechanisms like click-type wrenches. They maintain accuracy over time if used properly.
Beam torque wrenches can be less precise than micrometer torque wrenches or electronic torque wrenches but they're great if you need a rough indication of torque or if you're tightening fasteners where precise torque isn't critical. They are also less expensive than the more precise click torque wrench or electronic torque wrench.
  • Directly measure a variety of torque values when tightening fasteners
  • Torque accuracy of +/-7% when measuring torque in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction
  • Scale includes both SAE and metric sizes and provides a readout in ft-lb, Nm, and in-lb
  • Bend pointer to zero before use
  • Palm-fit handle pivots on the beam to maintain a constant distance from the drive point for precise measurement
  • 1 year limited warranty; calibration accuracy warrantied for 90 days
